WWE 2K24 Preview: Part 2

Gameplay Mechanics: Smoother and More Intuitive

WWE 2K24 introduces several gameplay mechanics designed to make matches feel more fluid and intuitive. The grappling system has been refined to allow for smoother transitions between moves, making matches feel more like the choreographed ballet of strength and agility seen on WWE programming. The striking system has also been tweaked to provide more feedback and impact, giving each punch, kick, and slam a satisfying sense of weight.

A new reversal system aims to balance the playing field, offering players more strategic options to counter their opponents' moves. This system rewards timing and anticipation, adding depth to matches and ensuring that no two fights feel the same.

New Game Modes and Content

WWE 2K24 expands the series' offering with new game modes that cater to a wide range of fans. One of the most anticipated additions is the return of the General Manager mode, allowing players to take on the role of a WWE executive. In this mode, players can draft superstars, book matches, and manage the financial aspects of running a wrestling promotion, competing against AI or player-controlled rivals to win the coveted title of the top brand in WWE.

The MyCareer mode has also been revamped, providing a more personalized and immersive journey through the ranks of WWE. Players can create a wrestler from scratch and navigate the complexities of building a career in the wrestling world, from developing rivalries to forming alliances and making critical decisions that affect their path to WWE stardom.

For me, I’m torn between the Casket and the Special Guest Referee Match.

I think that the Referee match is going to make for some great ways to include aditional superstars when trying to maximize player rating in GM mode.
