Too Many Games, NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!

I wathced the Nintendo Direct this week… and there’s a whole crazy list of games from that Direct that I want to play… but my BACKLOG, is already CrAzY LoNg! It’s frustrating so, I thought I’d write out some ideas on how to handle feeling overwhelmed by the large number of video games in your library.

Do you often find yourself struggling to decide which game to play next? You are not alone. Many gamers struggle with having too many video games in their library but not enough time to play them all. And then, all of the sudden there’s another “Fall Release Window” game on your list that “needs” to be played.

The video game industry has boomed in recent years, and with the advent of digital downloads and streaming, it has become easier than ever to accumulate a large library of games. However, with so many options to choose from, it can be difficult to find the time to fully enjoy them all.

So, what can you do to maximize the enjoyment of your video game library? Here are a few tips:

Prioritize Your Games

The first step is to prioritize your games. Make a list of the games you want to play and rank them in order of importance. This will help you focus on the games that are most important to you and give you a clear idea of what you want to achieve.

Set Aside Time to Play

It's important to set aside time to play your favorite games. Incorporate gaming into your weekly routine by scheduling specific times for it. This will help you become more disciplined and committed to making progress in your games.

Limit Your Options

Having too many options can be overwhelming. Limiting the number of games you have access to can help you focus on the ones that matter most. Consider removing the games that no longer interest you or the ones that you know you will never play.

Take Breaks

Playing video games for too long can lead to fatigue and burnout. Taking breaks can refresh your mind and help you enjoy your games more. Instead of playing for hours on end, take breaks every hour or so to stretch, grab a snack, or simply walk around.

In summary, having too many video games but not enough time is a common problem for many gamers. By prioritizing your games, setting aside time to play, limiting your options, and taking breaks, you can maximize your enjoyment of your video game library. Remember, the goal is to have fun and enjoy your games, not to feel overwhelmed and stressed. Happy gaming!
