“People are Idiots”
We have so far to grow as a country when it comes to understanding the game of soccer. My world revolves around the game, and I’m still learning new things every day.
In the age of the internet, people can post whatever they want about whatever they want. Hence the reason I get to blog on a website I created with a web address that I picked that I’ve been regretting for about the last 6 months or so. Given that I’m the only one producing any content here the GROUP- has become the voices in my head. Maybe I am delusional after all? Anyway, back to reality.
I don’t come here to defend FC Cincinnati. As an organization, they have their faults. I tend to be “the voice of reason” or always on the other side of the fence when it comes to them in a group text that I’m in amung some of the original FCC Fans. (Pre-MLS) These people have been on the bandwagon from Day One… and attend a lot of soccer events outside of the FCC space as well. The discussion is usually pretty solid but tends to be FCC centered.
“People are Idiots” was posted in that group. In response to something else but, it seems to fit the above tweet to me.
We have a LONG way to go when it comes to learning about how the game operates and how much the LEAGUE acutally has control over it’s franchises (yes, franchises) their contracts, and what they do when it comes to social media, marketing, and the overall messages that they share with the fanbase.
